The Plastic Flotilla
The Plastic Flotilla is an immersive installation work by Rachel Honnery that combines crocheted plastic bags with light and pastel illustrations to explore the fragility of marine ecosystems and the environmental consequences of plastic pollution. Through the transformation of discarded domestic materials into intricate lace-like structures, the work reflects on the vulnerability of coral reef systems and the accelerating ecological pressures placed upon the oceans.
